Physiotherapy & Treatment

Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation are vital for recovery. The musculoskeletal system provides stability, strength, control & movement. Therefore, MSK injuries may occur at tendons, ligaments, joints, muscles as well as nerves. Damage to any of these structures may cause pain & as a result prevent optimal function.

At MSK Physiotherapy we aim to improve overall function, as well as reducing pain, enhancing range of movement, flexibility and strength. We combine treatment modalities such as Manual Therapy, Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling), Taping, Massage, Cupping & Exercise Rehabilitation to achieve the best outcomes. We work collaboratively with recognised consultants and specialists from top hospitals in order to provide the most effective treatments. We are also able to arrange referrals for medical scans or further examination if required.

Initial Assessment

The first appointment will include a consultation identifying the history of the current issues as well as a physical assessment which involves movement analysis, neurological and special testing in order to establish a diagnosis. Our role here is to identify which structures are damaged and how we can work towards improving symptoms and function avoiding long-term complications. We plan goals to make sure a progressive rehabilitation plan is set with consistent monitoring. Our treatment plans incorporate all of our services in order to achieve optimal recovery.

Follow Up

Follow up sessions will involve a brief assessment in order to identify areas for improvement. These sessions focus on treatment, aiming to reach the client’s goal and maintain long-term improvement. Continued physiotherapy and rehabilitation will encourage progression and development of the client’s plan. This is an integral part of optimal recovery.
