Appointments & Follow-Ups

The initial consultation will involve a discussion (subjective assessment - injury/issue history taking), followed by a physical assessment in order to identify the most suitable treatment and rehabilitation plan. Referrals to specialists/consultants might also be advised for further reviews. We recommend regular follow up sessions as advised by your therapist in order to achieve optimal recovery and long-term progression as well as continuing your rehabilitation/home exercise plan in your own time.

All of our Physiotherapists have completed an undergraduate or Masters level degrees in Physiotherapy. All our Physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Do I Need To Be Referred For Physiotherapy?

We accept walk ins and same day appointments for self-pay and medical insurance clients. Clients do not need a direct referral to have Physiotherapy sessions. Please contact us for more information or if you have any questions.

Can I Use Private Medical/Health Insurance?

MSK Physiotherapy is registered and covered by most major private health and medical insurers (UK and internationally). Clients with private medical insurance are welcome to book in for our services.

If you have private medical/health insurance which covers Physiotherapy we would require the following insurance policy details in order to begin sessions: Name of insurance company, Membership or Policy number/details, Details of excess (if any?), How many treatment sessions have been authorised and authorisation code.

Some insurance companies require a GP consultation before attending or being referred for Physiotherapy treatment. We recommend to contact your insurance provider and start the process as early as possible to avoid any delays.
