Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation are vital for recovery. The musculoskeletal system provides stability, strength, control and movement. Therefore, MSK injuries may occur at tendons, ligaments, joints, muscles as well as nerves. Damage to any of these structures may cause pain and as a result prevent optimal function.
We focus on improving overall function, as well as reducing pain, enhancing range of movement, flexibility and strength. Given these points, we combine treatment modalities such as Manual Therapy, Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling), Electrotherapy, Taping, Massage, Cupping and Exercise Rehabilitation to achieve the best outcomes.
At MSK Physiotherapy London our specialist team are all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Clients may be able to claim sessions through private medical insurance. Please contact us for further information.
Please make sure that suitable clothing is worn when attending all sessions (sports bra, shorts, or t-shirts).
The first appointment will include a consultation with clinical reasoning in order to set up an individualised treatment plan. The physical assessment involves movement analysis, as well as neurological and special testing in order to establish a diagnosis. Our role here is to identify which structures are damaged and how to overcome the issues from occurring in the future.
We plan goals to make sure a progressive rehabilitation plan is set with consistent monitoring. Our treatment plans incorporate all of our services in order to achieve optimal recovery.
Follow Up Appointments
Follow up sessions will involve a brief assessment in order to identify areas for improvement. Continued physiotherapy and rehabilitation will encourage progression and development of the client’s plan. This is an integral part of optimal recovery. These sessions focus on treatment, aiming to reach the client’s goal and maintain long-term improvement.
